FORTHCOMING PERFORMANCE AT SONO-ELECTRO

I am very happy to announce that on September 20th, I will be taking part in this year’s Sono-Electro- a 10-day festival dedicated to sound art, in St Leonards on Sea. This year, I will be debuting an Art performance piece inspired by the hours spent singing to my young baby to lull him to sleep. One particular song, Row Row Row Your Boat, became an outlet for an intense period of shifting emotions, marked by the ever-changing landscape of new motherhood and ongoing atrocities in Palestine. In simple terms, the performance involves me sitting in a boat, inside a gallery, singing the same song on repeat for two hours.

Partly inspired by Ragnar Kjartansson’s A Lot of Sorrow, the performance will aim to reflect the resilience of solo parenting, while testing the limits of a well known nursery rhyme.

Audience participation is neither discouraged nor encouraged.

Here is a special link to discounted tickets. The income I earn from these will be donated to Children Not Numbers.
