The book is a distillation of my wider project of the same name, which creatively documents my experience of early motherhood.

The hardback book weaves risograph-printed diary entries with digitally printed photographs and scans throughout, offering a personal insight into my daily life since the birth of my baby in 2023.

As well as day-to-day life, the book documents much of the inspiration and ideas that shaped the wider body of work. It pushes back against the idea that motherhood and artistic practice are at odds with one another, instead showing how I worked speedily in the gaps, often while my baby napped, finding a way to keep making work amid the chaos rather than in spite of it.

Each copy comes with a three-colour risograph “It’s A Shit Show” poster and is wrapped in mock Tunnock's wrapping paper.
