Drumz Of The South: The Dubstep Years (book)

This week I launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to fund the printing of 1000 copies of my first ever photobook - Drumz Of The South: The Dubstep Years (2004-2007).

The book is a 220+ page ode to South London and my journey with its early dubstep scene and features 150+ images of DJs and artists like Mala, Coki, Loefah, Sgt.Pokes, Hatcha, Skream, Benga, Burial and Kode9 alongside dance floor scenes and cityscapes.

There are also never before seen hand-drawn notes and maps and a foreword by the author of Make Some Space, Emma Warren and overall art-direction by the brilliant Alfie Allen.

The Dubstep Years is both a cultural and historical record of an important moment in time, and a personal story of community and creativity. I cannot wait to share it with you.

I am over-the-moon at the reception the book and Kickstarter campaign have received so far.

In just over 24 hours, it is nearly 50% funded, and backers have come from all around the world, and has received public support from DJ Mag, Resident Advisor, Crack Magazine, Gilles Peterson and Mary Anne Hobbs.
